Review by charles wheelus (Posted on Thursday 03 May, 2012)This seminal work covers a profound period of pure expression for Mr. Simmons. From the rawness of Behavior to the subtle haunting charm of "Sometimes its fun to use the good china" to the seemingly unsober whimsy of "Spending the night in jail", This work takes you on a journey through the labyrinth of disjoint thought, a collage of tangental thought and song. Recorded at the Blue Room in Pembroke Pines FLorida, the months over which this was recorded saw a flurry of collaberation amongst a diverse group of artists. (See https://www.facebook.com/pages/Children-of-the-New-Renaissance/103464483040) The album was truly one of the gems that emerged from that special time. If you are new to Mr. Simmons work, this is a great place to start.
